My whole family (husband, 3 kids & me) have been coming here for about 10 years and we love the personal care we get here. The whole practice is very warm and friendly and do a great job with all of us. A few years ago I tried another dentist for the kids because it was closer to home. I really didn’t like the cookie cutter, “we’re just a number” type of feel we got so we came back. I haven’t regretted it for a second. There are tons of dentists out there but it’s worth the drive from Fort Mill. Update (2 years later): Unfortunately, my experience with Kakouras Family Dentistry has changed. At what I thought was a routine cleaning, I was told I would only be given a deep cleaning because a regular cleaning was no longer considered appropriate. This came as a complete surprise, as I'd never been warned that my gums were getting to that point or given guidance on how to prevent the issue I’m now dealing with. I thought I was doing so good! I left the appointment feeling upset and overwhelmed. I later found a new dental office that took the time to thoroughly explain everything and answer all of my questions. I've since transferred my family's care there as well. After more than 10 years as patients, I was disappointed that when I called to cancel our appointments, there was no concern or attempt to understand why we were leaving. It was a sad ending to what I had hoped was a practice that truly valued its long-term patients.
